    Founded in 1910

    Citizens National Bank was organized December 27, 1909 as a State Bank under the name Paintsville Bank & Trust Co.  The bank began operations in February 1910 with initial Capital of $50,000.00. As of December 2020, Citizens Bank of Kentucky operates 12 branches in eight counties, which include Johnson, Floyd, Magoffin, Boyd, Carter, Pike, Lawrence and Clark counties.  Citizens Bank of Kentucky remains one of the largest independently owned and operated community banks in Kentucky.
